Pane della Nonna
The company was founded in 1996 when an old bakery was found in the seaside area of Torre S. Gennaro (Torchiarolo), located on the Adriatic coast. Thus it was that the Fortunato sisters - Clemy, Rosy and Sabina - founded the company 'Il Pane della Nonna.
They started to work in the bakery field by re-evaluating typical products and using the recipes of our grandmothers. In this way, ancient genuine flavors and fragrances faded over the years, came back to life. A strong contribution was made by their father Antonio and Angelo.
Mr. Antonio, thanks to his thirty years of experience in the field of flour, has managed to find the right balance between taste and nutritional value for every single product by experimenting various blends. The mastery of Mr. Angelo, head of the production area, transformed the recipes into finished goods, providing the consumer with high quality products and establishing the company on the retail market.
After almost ten years of sacrifices and an hard-work, the company has built a factory in San Donaci (Brindisi), for the production and sale of products such as tarallini, friselline, frise, biscuits, dry pastries. They still keep working in the bakery field for daily consumption.
